This policy explains what personal data Neuva AI ("Neuva AI", "we", "us") collects when you use https://neuvaai.com (the "Service"), why we collect it, and your rights. We follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable Indian laws.

What we collect

Account details: your name, email address, password (stored only in encrypted/hashed form), account type (teacher or school), and school or organisation name if you provide it.
Content you give us: topics, notes, instructions, uploaded files and photos, and the question papers, answer keys, quizzes, worksheets, presentations and other material the Service generates for you.
Payment details: plan or credit pack purchased, amount, date, and Razorpay payment and order IDs. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by Razorpay. We do not see or store them.
Marketplace details: job posts, applications, skill listings, booking requests and the messages or notes in them. When a teacher applies for a job, their application details and CV are shared only with the school that posted that job.
Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, login and session records, and error logs. We use these to keep your account secure (for example, login limits and single-device login) and to fix problems.
Cookies: we use essential cookies only, to keep you logged in securely. We do not use advertising cookies.

If you choose "Continue with Google", Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with Neuva AI. We use them only for your account: to create it, to log you in and to show your name. We keep your name, email address and Google account ID; we do not store your profile picture, and we never receive your Google password. You can also set a password and log in with your email.

Why we use it

To create and run your account; to generate the content you request; to process payments and manage credits and plans; to run the Teacher Recruitment and Skill Marketplace features; to send service emails such as password reset and account notices; to prevent fraud, abuse and account sharing; to provide support; and to meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your content to show you ads.

Who processes your data for us

We use trusted service providers to run the Service. They process data only to provide their service to us:

Anthropic and OpenAI — AI generation of text and images from the content you submit
Razorpay — payments
Google — "Continue with Google" sign-in (only if you choose it)
Resend — sending emails
MongoDB Atlas — database
Cloudflare and Render — hosting of the website and server
Cloudflare — storage of encrypted daily backups of account, payment and marketplace data (never generated history or CVs)

Some of these providers may store or process data outside India. We choose providers with reasonable security practices.

What others can see

Your generated content and history are private to your account. In the Marketplace, limited details (such as your name and listed skill, or a school's job post) are visible to other users as needed for that feature. Your email is shared only in the specific cases the feature needs, for example with a school you applied to or a school whose booking request you accepted.

We may disclose data if required by law, court order or a government authority, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the Service.

How long we keep it

Account data: while your account is active, or until you ask us to delete it.
Generated history: for the number of days your plan keeps it (see the Pricing page), then permanently deleted. No backup copy is kept.
Images generated for presentations: kept as long as the presentation is in your History and deleted with it; images of presentations that are not saved are automatically deleted after 24 hours.
CVs uploaded with job applications: automatically deleted 7 days after the application.
Encrypted daily backups of account, payment and marketplace data (not generated history and not CVs): 7 days.
Payment records: for as long as required under Indian tax and accounting laws.
Security logs: for a limited period needed to protect the Service.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, or raise a grievance. Email [email protected] from your registered email. We will act on deletion requests within 30 days, except for records we must keep by law.

Children

The Service is meant for teachers, schools and educators aged 18 or above. Students should not create accounts. Please avoid uploading students' personal details (such as phone numbers, addresses or marks linked to names) unless necessary.

Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, secure cookies, login limits and access controls. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.

Grievance Officer

Write to our Grievance Officer (named at the top of this policy) at [email protected] or call 9759115656. We will acknowledge grievances within 48 hours and try to resolve them within 30 days.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will change the "Last updated" date and, for important changes, inform you by email or in the app.
